Terms and Conditions for Ticket Purchase

General Information:

  • These terms and conditions apply to the purchase of tickets for our event in Portugal by Shame LESS Society GmbH, a German company.
  • All ticket purchases are subject to these terms, and by completing a purchase, the buyer agrees to comply with them.

1. General Refund Policy

  • As a general rule, tickets are refundable up to one week prior to the event. If the event is less than 7 days away, the member cannot request a refund.
  • A Ticket Transfer to another verified member or volunteer is possible up to 24 hrs prior to the event.

2. Refund Options

  • Voucher Option: Receive a discount code equivalent to the full value of your ticket purchase for future events.
  • Money Back Option: Receive the paid amount minus 20% service fee.
  • Ticket Transfer Option: Transfer your ticket to another verified member or volunteer, with no additional cost. This option is available up to 24 hours prior to the event.

3. Return Policy for Exceptional Cases

3.1. Cancellation of Event

In case the event is canceled for any reason, ticket holders will receive a refund of the ticket price. Refunds will be processed automatically to the original payment method used for the purchase.

3.2. Postponement or Rescheduling

If the event is postponed to a later date, tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date. Ticket holders unable to attend the rescheduled date may request a refund of the ticket price minus a 20% service fee.

4. How to Request a Refund

  • As a general rule, all requests should be sent to: support@shame-less-society.com.
  • Refund requests within the last 7 days leading up to the event are not accepted and will not be approved. Transfer your ticket to another verified member or volunteer instead. This option is available up to 24 hours prior to the event. Later requests will not be considered.
  • Requests in case of Cancellation: In an unlikely case of a cancellation, instructions on how to request a refund will be communicated via email and through our official website for all upcoming events, to which this policy applies.
  • Requests in case of Postponement or Rescheduling: Requests must be submitted within 30 days after the official announcement.

5. Service Fees

A service fee of 20% is charged on all ticket purchases. This fee is non-refundable.

6. Force Majeure

The event organizer reserves the right to amend the refund policy in cases of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances, in compliance with applicable laws.

8. Refund Policy for Volunteer Tickets

To ensure our events run smoothly and to cover the necessary costs, we have introduced a new volunteer system.

  • Participation Fee: Volunteers will pay a fee of €100.
  • Refund Structure: After the event, if you contributed the shifts and completed the tasks you agreed to with your team lead, up to 80% of the sum will be refunded to you, leaving a 20% contribution towards the basic costs, like drinks, snacks, and lunch during the event day.

Why This Approach? By introducing this system, we aim to foster greater dedication and ensure our events continue to be exceptional experiences for everyone. This idea stems from standard practices at festivals and large events, and not as a reflection of mistrust towards the volunteers.

10. Legal Jurisdiction:

Any legal matters arising from this transaction will be governed by German law.
